I’m just a regular family guy trying to build more lean muscle, stay strong, and help others do the same.
Hi, I’m Jason Price, and I turned my protein gap into a project because I hit a point in my life where I knew something had to change.
I’m 52. I’m not a fitness coach or a nutritionist. I don’t have a degree in sports science.
But I do have a real passion for getting stronger, living healthier, and sharing what I learn with people just like me.
A while back, I realized I was doing “pretty much everything right” — working out, eating fairly clean, staying active — but I still wasn’t seeing the kind of results I wanted. I wasn’t gaining lean muscle, I didn’t feel as strong or energized as I thought I should, and honestly… it was frustrating.
So I started asking questions. A lot of them.
What I Learned Surprised Me:
Every personal trainer, fitness pro, and article I came across kept pointing back to protein.
More specifically — a lack of it.
“You’re probably not getting enough protein,” they kept saying.
And they were right.
That’s when it clicked: I wasn’t fueling my body for the goals I had.
I had a protein gap — and it was holding me back.
That’s Where This Project Began
I didn’t want to become a bodybuilder.
I just wanted to feel stronger and build lean muscle — without turning my life upside down.
So I started making small changes:
- Adding protein shakes and snacks that actually helped me hit my numbers
- Planning protein into my day instead of winging it
- Learning how to be consistent, not perfect
And most importantly — I started seeing results.
Not just physically, but in my energy, confidence and motivation.
What This Project Is All About
The Protein Gap Project is my way of sharing what I’m learning as I go.
It’s not about being perfect. It’s not a one-size-fits-all plan. It’s just a place where real people can come to:

- Find encouragement and support
